East Cork Division Senior, Junior & Master T&F Championships

The East Cork Athletics Division Senior, Junior and Masters T&F championships were held in Carraig na Bhfear on Tuesday 21st June 2022.

We would like to extend our thanks to Carraig na Bhfear AC for hosting the event and all the hard work in preparing the grass tracks which were in excellent condition.

The home club dominated the sprint events with the middle distance events being more evenly shared amongst the competing clubs.

Fota Island Running Club were taking part in their first East Cork Athletics championships having joined the division this year, with several athletes placing in the medals. It was great to have a new club involved.

The next race is the Senior Men & Women 5000m Championship which will take place at MTU Grounds on Wednesday, 13th July 2022 8pm.
